Simcity Buildit - Follow the rules and you'll be banned!
In recent weeks, new rules have appeared in Simcity Buildit. For example, production times for nails, metal, and wood have been reduced, but demand for services such as water, sewer, garbage, and electricity has also been significantly reduced. Strangely, these new rules seem to be deployed randomly; some cities are affected, others not, regardless of their level. For my part, noticing that demand for services in my capital and regions was reduced, I chose to demolish these service buildings in order to use this space to build new residential buildings. Once destroyed, you are refunded a portion of the value of these services. In my case, these were Omega services, so I recovered about half the value of nearly 80 service buildings (yes, I had a lot!). In doing so, the amount available in my neobank reached approximately 40 million, while its limit is 750,000 Neosimoleons. An hour or two later, my city was banned, excluded from my club on the server dedicated to cheaters. Following a request for help finding a solution, the SimCity Buildit "specialist" told me that I had used an illegal version of SimCity Buildit to obtain so many Neosimoleons. Such ignorance of the game from a specialist is hard to imagine. It took me 10 years to build this city, and an EA intern gives himself the right to impose his opinion on me?! In short, if you are affected by these new rules, do not destroy your Omega services if you think the refund amount will exceed your bank's limit. If a real EA expert is reading this, know that I need help...9Views0likes0CommentsService buildings cannot be upgraded, and material production times changed
Recently, my game has been acting strangely. First, all service buildings on my friend's account can be upgraded, but mine remain unchanged despite the texture update—they still can't be upgraded. Additionally, my factory's iron production time has dropped from 1 minute to 20 seconds, and wood production from 2 minutes (or whatever it was—I forgot) to 45 seconds. That's great, but I noticed my friend's account still shows 1 minute and 2 minutes respectively. This has me confused. What determines material production times?36Views0likes0CommentsResidential buildings stuck at Level 1/6 – no upgrades available
Subject: Residential buildings won’t upgrade (no hard-hat icon) despite high land value and full services Body: Hello EA Support Team, I’m experiencing a persistent issue in SimCity BuildIt where residential buildings never become eligible for upgrades. The hard-hat icon never appears above any house, so all homes remain Level 1/6 indefinitely. Account & city details Player ID: 2927760670 City name: Texas Mayor level: 14 Population: 24,790 Happiness: 100% Platform/device: iPad Pro OS version: iPadOS 17.6.1 Country/Language: Russia / Russian Problem description Even though all upgrade conditions are met, the game never triggers the upgrade state: Land Value: high (blue zone in the Land Value overlay). Wealth Forecast: up to Luxury homes (orange overlay confirms it). Municipal services: power, water, sewage, waste, fire, police, health, education, transportation, etc. are fully available and have spare capacity; service coverage is 100% for the affected area. Specializations: parks/landscape and others are placed and active. Demand indicator: house info panels show that services/upgrade demand exists, yet upgrades don’t start. All affected buildings are standard Residential Zones (not London/Paris/Tokyo). Steps to reproduce Prepared a district with maximum land value using parks/specializations. Placed several new standard Residential Zones in this area. Ensured all services have headroom and coverage; Wealth Forecast shows Luxury. Waited and played for multiple sessions. The hard-hat icon never appears above any house. All stay at Level 1/6. Rebuilt multiple times, also tried the reverse order (build on normal land → later increase land value). Cleared space and built new zones elsewhere. Temporarily moved/removed some specialization buildings. Logged out/in, reinstalled the app, and even waited ~4 days. Result: no change; upgrades remain unavailable. What I expected Eligible homes should request an upgrade (hard-hat icon), allowing me to upgrade beyond Level 1/6. What I already tried Bulldozing and rebuilding houses; moving them to low-value land and back. Ensuring surplus capacity for power/water/sewage and all municipal services. Relocating/removing some specialization buildings. Reinstalling the game and re-logging into my account. Waiting several real-world days for the system to refresh. Attachments provided Screenshots of Land Value, Wealth Forecast, the city view, Player ID, and a house info panel showing Level 1/6 and demand. This appears to be a save-level or server-side bug preventing the upgrade trigger from firing across my city. Could you please inspect and repair my city data on your side (e.g., refresh upgrade flags/counters) or apply a known fix? I authorize you to access my account for troubleshooting. Thank you in advance for your help. Best regards, Sofya71Views1like1CommentBug report: incorrect service demands
Device Type: iOS Last Occurrence: Ongoing, last observed at the time of this post ~5:30pm ET 8/29/25. Version: 1.61.1.143026 (See screenshots at the end) My girlfriend plays on her iOS device. She's started a new city and is around level 8, ~15k population. At this point in the game, with 9 or 10 normal residential zones at level 5 or 6, she has a service demand of ~110. Each zone has a service demand of 15 at level 6. I started a new city on my Android, and my stats are about the same other than my service demands which remain at 1 for each level 6 normal residential zone. I can't find any information on this other than news of an update from back in July of 2025 that reduced service demands. Hi, I noticed yesterday that I can no longer get the Himeji Castle landmark building - I completed the "task" or "mission" or whatever it was to build ten tokyo homes and build the Himeji Castle.. YEARS AGO. Since completing that task / mission / annoying clipboard thing, I've demolished the Tokyo town homes in my capital because I don't want any in my capital. However, as of yesterday, I can no longer spend gold keys to get a new Himeji Castle. Why is this, if someone completes those missions, why do they still need to have the homes built in their capital to build that building? Can you please fix this. Nobody should be blackmailed into having particular building types in their capital in order to build a building. Let the players design things the way they want. And I certainly don't want Tokyo town buildings in my capital. I don't like them. THIS IS A SUGGESTION ABOVE ALL. NOBODY SHOULD BE FORCED TO KEEP CERTAIN BUILDING TYPES IN ORDER TO GET A LANDMARK BUILDING.133Views1like2CommentsAbout City Delete Button

This game is getting worse every day lately. I’ve been playing since the start, but I’m beginning to hate this game. Cactus canyon is the one region that I haven’t unlocked yet. So why are there requests for items from that region? This shouldn’t be happening. I have no access to those items. Instead of making changes to the game, the developers need to focus on fixing all of the current problems.107Views0likes2Comments
