Add New Regions

To really make the game of Sim City really interesting add new regions to the game. It really will become more of an interesting game experience.

  • We have regions once I reach level 20 I think I can't get my last region because of all the Sims I lost with that stupid services up date I've still got 3 regions to repair

  • Thanks for sharing this suggestion! While new regions would certainly be an interesting addition—especially for players who have already unlocked all 5 regions—we have to look at the practical and spatial realities currently present in SimCity BuildIt.

Unlocking the 5th region already requires a massive 10,000,000 regional population. With the introduction of the Mass Transit system, players now face a major spatial contradiction:

    • Zero-Yield Footprint: Railway tracks and stations consume a huge'|amount of land. Unlike residential zones or boost buildings, rail infrastructure yields zero population growth.
    • The Density Dilemma: To hit these high population targets, almost every available tile must be hyper-optimized for maximum density (Epic/Omega buildings with full boost coverage). Dedicating grid space to train networks directly lowers the maximum population a region can physically hold.

    My perspective:

Additional regions would be great in theory, but unless EA expands the land boundaries in existing regions, adding a 6th region brings little value if the unlock requirements stay unrealistic. Having more choices is nice, but not if reaching them is practically impossible.

If EA ever decides to introduce new regions, they need to drastically lower the population unlock requirements to a realistic level AND provide land expansions in current regions to compensate for the space lost to Mass Transit.
