Am i the only one ?

do i like the service 2.0 ? of course not

but we have no choice , either adapt to it or leave

i fix 99% of all my cities in less than 24hrs after the update

i have a 40m total pop with all cities fully developped

unlike so many player out there who just build tiny city , my capital have 14M pop that generate 86k daily income

also before the service 2.0 start as i said in a different post i bulldoze all my omega service building to get them refund at 50% cost price

also need to be fair with EA , they gift me 14 fully developed omega service building, couple of drone station and lot of fully developed fire , police and hospital

yes if i had not bulldoze my omega before it will have been more difficult but not impossible

so instead like  so many here just complaining and ranting , spend your energy to fixe your city , help each other in your team ....

[Fixed title typo - CM]

  • Nope. I've demolished my city and filled it with service buildings, bankrupt myself daily trying to keep up but can't.

Most players are now too broke to buy things you sell to fund such things too so the in game economy is crashing.. bit too much like RL and I hate it.

  • What do you mean you have no choice? It is up to us to make them pay the price for there  stupidity. I don’t know about you, but I play for fun, not play to pay. Delete the app and get out.

  • You are one of the few rare individuals who think before acting. I had to waste my millions of Simoleons first. Only when there were no Simoleons left   I stopped  reacting and begun using my resources economically.

I agree EA provided enough resources to fix the city in 24 hours, but it took me a bit longer.

    Hello Everyone

I completely agree with the OP. When it comes to Service 2.0 we basically have two choices: Adapter or quit. I chose adapt and I'd like to share my experiance to hopefully encourage those who are on the verge of giving up of their cities.

I also  manage to get through the rollout without any losses.  My secret was thorough preparation:

    • Worst-case calculation: even before the update hit, i calculated whether my city could also have a chance to survive without the compensation gifts.
    • Being informed: i spent a lot of time reading up on the changes and took precautions, such as managing resources, building up a currency buffer,  no requirements shown in the City report for update of streets and no or minimale service couverage area overlap'
    • The result: 100% integration in a Single day. No loss in income  (Simelons  and Neo Simelons) and the population in both  my capital city and regions has remained stabile.

However -and this is a big "however":

Event thougt i've mastered  the new system, the game is currently not much fun from a technical standpoint. Since the update  performane has suffered massively.  Despite having a clean system (cleared cache,  over 1.9 GB of free RAM) the game is extremely "jittery" and lags constantly.

IIts a shame: we players invest time and strategy to adapt to these new mechanics, butthe technical Implementation of Service seems to be pushing the hardware to its limit. I really hope EA improves this because a strategically perfect city isn't much fun when scrolling and building becomes a test of patience.

Hang in there and plan your moves ahead - it definitely works!
