Beach in SimsBuildit

I've unlocked the beach area and have expanded it once already. Can someone tell me why my sims are still complaining about the beach not being opened?

    Hello @k78h22udktfa 

    If you press and hold one of your Beach items your Beach coverage area will highlight in green.

    If you have residential buildings of any kind that are not in the green "covered" area, you may want to consider moving those buildings inside the coverage area or you may choose to add another Beach Specialization item to cover the buildings that have no coverage.

    *Be certain you are placing actual Beach Specialization items and not not just Mayor's Pass items that can be placed on the beach.
