Black Friday event not collecting plumbobs

I have done a number of challenges and the plumbob count is still zero!

Tasks do nothing for the Black Friday event. Only purchases will get you anywhere.

Could you outline what challenges you've been completing so far that you were expecting plumbobs from?

If you could include a screenshot too, that would help.

I now know that this is for paid purchases and I never spend real money on any game.
