Boo Snowflake Game

Question

I would just like to formally state that I am displeased with the snowflake chance game you’ve started this year. I had intended to just ignore it — none of the prizes are worth the effort — but now that there IS one I do want (the 2018 NYE building) I probably am never going to luck into it — I can’t even spent real life money to get it! I’ve attempted 4 times now: twice I landed on simoleons and twice I landed on bulldozer parts (which I’m not collecting).

This different to something like the Taj Mahal; that one, if I put in the time and money, I could at least have a shot at achieving- but this, I could put the same time and resources into, but only chance into more simoleons every time. And for a building that in previous years was, like, 5000 sim!

I wouldn’t bother. The building constantly sends out fireworks and the noise gets annoying after about a minute and you’ll just end up storing it like half the people in my club have. Of course there is no option to toggle off the fireworks. That would require actual work from a programmer and EA wouldn’t ever do that.

And now that it’s after the New Year, that building is already gone? So I had just a couple weeks to chance into it, and that’s it?

I found out after I posted originally that I COULD have spent real-life money on it; each spin costs just 200 game-bucks (which, according to your payment teirs, is worth about $4.00 real USD). As much as I wanted to continue my collection of New Years buildings, it’s just not worth four bucks for a CHANCE to get it.

I play the game without sound, so this particular issue isn’t a big deal for me.

But you bring up a really good point: this game ought to be WAAAY more customizable... there should be toggles for every building! And color choices, and architecture options, etc etc. The only part of the game they are interested in developing is the ways that get players to spend more money (contest of mayors, wars, snowflake chance games, blah blah)
