Building bridges on land

Building bridges on land may look nice at times, fortunately it is kind of possible using a bug however, this is a bug which does mean there are issues....

However, even though it can be exploited (kind of, really its a disadvantage because you don;t get population boosts from the water) it shouldn't be fixed because there are much more important "bugs" that need to be fixed 😛

  1. place at least two tiles of water next to a road or a previous bridge that is on water
  2. Place a bridge on the water normally
  3. select the bridge and make it hover a little bit away so the lake/pond that was under the bridge can now be seen with nothing covering it
  4. tap and hold on the lake/pond until it becomes selected
  5. drag the lake to somewhere else and then you have removed the water from under the bridge!

Please note there is a bug even with this bug which is if the bridge end is at the top or the left of the bridge, it will be reversed and this will make it look strange, like this:

However, the cars pretend its the right direction and they travel properly.... This also makes it obvious that for some reason the bridges connecting do not detect if there are nearby bridges and instead detect if there are nearby lakes...

The only slightly bad thing about this bug is that it can kind of save keys, but at the same time, some bridges look nicer with water underneath.

If this bug was to be fixed, it should only be if more "layered" items existed for example a landscape item like a "boat" that sails on water. If the water was taken away, it would look very strange... and it should be fixed.

i guess i posted this if someone did want to make more decorated cities with bridges that go over land :P

(on a side note, if we ever do get more on-water placeables then it might be a good idea to have ponds cost coins maybe? - or keys easier to get, and this bug should be fixed... This would also apply if there was Venice like cities where everything is on stilts and only is on water)
