Today SimCity BuildIt was updated with a new feature - Club Wars.

I actually quite like the Idea of the new War feauture, it brings a fresh new look to the game and a whole new feel, but and there is always a but it does need some work doing to it,
Firstly I think its unfair on how the tutorial randomly gives players disaster cards, me and my brother both play in the same Club and he was awarded much better attacks then I was and now every war he manages to rack up a few thousand points whilst I struggle to score with these basic attacks meaning he generally gets better rewards for participation ... big dissapointment
Secondly as mentioned in other replies the way in which war items are gathered is far too time consuming, having to keep actively logging in every 5 minutes in the hope that 5 x 5 minutes later you will actually get a Item that is needed, then by the time you have produced the required items to generate the war item youve lost an hour or 2 of preperation. How ever I do like the idea you can pre see the required items before hand but this still does not make things easier.
Also when specific war tasks are need to complete certain contest assignments are left half completed and a massive time wait is required to then complete these assignments due to a war being finished is a major negative. May I suggest swapping all uncompleted war assignments with no penalty when wars are finished to compensate for this.
I like the fact that each damage dealt that is repaired gains additional war supplies but at the same time it doesnt quite work due to the protective bubble, meaning a mayor who has been dealt 10 damage can effectively build an arson of items and then deal extensive damage due to the bubble lifting after all damage healed, again is unfair. To compensate this may i suggest lifting the bubble as soon as the player reduces his 10 damage by 1 or more points. This will mean a player that has been zeroed (dealt 10 damage) can then be attacked again and stopped in his war item producing tracks if he heals 1 building reducing his damage from 10 to 9 so he can then be bubbled again and haulted from attacks. Making it beyter and easier to control individual war actions during a war. Off course a total of 9 damage means he can only be hit with an attack that scores a single point. This will help to increase strategising within a club and also help render the early mentioned unfair random attack cards dealt during the tutorial making it a little fairer.

This game was supposed to be my peaceful, mostly non-competitive game, alongside other games I play that are competitive. War does not belong in this game!!! This also interferes with doing Challenges. I do not like the push to spend more time playing this game trying to manage wars, especially on top of Challenges when I do like to compete in Metro and Mega leagues.
Have the devs forgotten what SimCity games are about? There are already miles of improvements that can be made by just expanding on the right aspects of the game, building cities.
@Devs - how about asking your player base what they want? You've over 100 comments so far hating this feature, which is poorly executed I might add. Also, what does the multiplier mean that appears on Energy Regeneration? Rather, where does it come from?
