Club wars - Feedback

Hello Mayors,

Today SimCity BuildIt was updated with a new feature - Club Wars. 

Do you have any feedback to share about Club Wars with the game team? Please, use this thread, we will be happy to read and forward it!

    About 2 days after delete and restore, the game returned to moderate lag, and heavy lag during war.

    Several other members in my group (mostly on apple devices) just outright deleted the game and reinstalled as the app wouldn't load at all.

    Sigh... this is supposed to be fun right?

    Games still lags for me because it uses too much data and heats up battery.

    I literally just played a round of war attacks by standing in the fridge with the phone laid against cool items.

    And yet, some people want the game map to be expanded... more graphics, more animations, more data... MORE LAG...!

    1. After reading all, i am wondering what exactly is a feeder city? Is it a second city one is using to storage items if the city storage is not large enough? Why is it cheating then? I think it's just a strategy and everybody can do that.... (my opinion).

    2. Why is everybody complaining by losing against strong clubs? Our club lost a lot of wars before we understood how well organized teams are playing. And since we are well organized team now, I think it's fair that we mostly win. And it's our decision, if we want to stay awake all the night and fight - why would anybody blame us for that? Don't really understand all these complains, guys! They sound mostly very frustrated and not fair.

    3. Totally agree with the idea to set a time limit on the dome (bubble). 18 hours should be realistic for everybody I think, also if you play against a team from the other part of the world.

    In any way - Club wars is a great feature especially for those who play the game since the very beginning and the cities are build since long time. Thanks EA for That!

    1. A feeder city can be used as mass production of war parts. A level 18 city will have a way easier time to procure the parts since many items, especially expensive ones, such as microwave, popcorn, yoghurt, tvs, etc, are not unlocked for them yet. This is a form of gaining unfair advantage.

    And a feeder city in the same club can be used to attack opponents. With feeder cities, you don’t even need to assemble a strong team and coordinate with each other to win wars. A group of 3-4 friends having 4 cities each is good enough. While there is nothing wrong with this, this is a valid concern.

    2. Did I complain about people staying up all night to win wars? Think not. I just found that it was strange someone could attack non-stop through the night. But I was prepared to lose to that team, and I even told my teammate it was an eye opener. If they could actually compromise their life and health for this, they deserve the win. So talking about their activities is called a complain?

    I can also let others know of the existence of such teams so they are more well-prepared to fight this kind of teams.

    3. The shield issue is still an issue, but we learnt to cope with that. Cheaters are always around, we just treat it as the chance to get personal chests to unlock better disasters.

    Hi lelik19900,

    Even though it may be considered a smart strategy, EA has ruled that feeder cities are not legal. I pressed the issue because my guys were prepared to level the playing field so to speak and I wanted to make sure we stayed within the rules. Personally it doesn’t matter to me (other than the ruling) - I can barely maintain one city.

    @J6niceL it was not personal, I just read the whole topic and wonder why so many people complain if they lose. Of course it's disuponting if one gave everything, but one can learn and do it better next time.

    I think we are not high enough (still top 1000) to play against cheater clubs, so don't have any experience with that and can't report on that. But I'll keep an eye on that and will report here.

    @PinnacleValley : we don't accept player below level 35 in our club, so I imagine nobody is a feeder then 🙂

    Ah, 3 more things 🙂

    1. it's really not that difficult to get war items, if you have active players in the club. If everybody does his best, it's easy. In general, if you have 20 active members, you'll basically get all you need within couple of minutes.

    2. There is a way to make it easy: ask every club member to produce two items all the time and put it in the store (no advertisement). For example player A produces all the time popcorn and tables, player B produces all the time ladder and flour bags and so on. So whenever needed, everybody can buy these items in their stores.

    3. It's nothing new: the game logic is "you don't get what you really need". So try this: ask your club members to give you 20 hydrants and give them f.e. megaphones. So you'll get all the time hydrants during the war and very rar the megaphones. (I really hope it's not illegal what I am writing). 😱

    Hi lelik19900,

    That’s great to hear, I didn’t think you had any as it appeared you were simply looking at it as a strategy. Just a quick note the city level is not necessarily a good measure of time or experience as leveling up is not difficult to do if that’s a person’s goal. You’ve been fortunate not to experience cheating because you’re well within the level and I hope you and your team never do.

    J6nicel and I have unfortunately seen it first hand and quite frankly in our case, I didn’t report it because I thought it was a rogue member and it happened so fast I had no credible evidence - why deny their club members the celebration they earned, we celebrated our effort as we were totally outmanned and kept it within 2k in spite of the cheats. At the end of the day it’s not about winning or losing (trust me I want to win and will fight you to the bitter end) but it’s about teamwork, effort, laughter, and fellowship...when somebody cheats they deny themselves the real joy. Over the years I’ve had my share of great victories and bitter defeats, but what you remember are not the trophies and the awards but the people you competed with, the effort you expended and the unshakable knowledge that you were a good steward of the game.

    As a Club President in this game you’re are responsible to provide a safe and encouraging environment for your members and the blantant cheating by others does not mesh well with that goal. So if there is credible evidence please report the transgressions so teams that play within the rules can compete with each other and figuratively shake each other’s hands and thank them for bringing out your best effort.
