contest of mayors

All nice and dandy but bottom line:
- Time is money and there's a lot of my time put on this
- I'm not soeculating. I've completed the 18 assignments and finish 1st with 24k points 2 days before the end
- The remaining shown assignments were 8 of less than 1000 each (a couple of 200's and 300's)
- in the end I ended 5th where the first had over 8000 points ahead of me - HOW?

Agree, to have a.straight answer only someone with knowledge in this particular code could do it.

But don't call me stupid and don't call his play as a context, call it a *ty mayors todo list and pay me accordingly and not with what I can do wit a few burgers and some boat shipments.

I certainly won't call you stupid. I've givin this some thought (lol), and I think I've figured out a solution... Level the playing field and give everyone identical, unlimited tasks for the 4 days, that's all they need to do. Example: player one completes 20 assignments and let's say finishes with 20,000 points, now player two completes 30 assignments and wins with 30,000 points. Everyones assignments have to be equal though and they should not stop you. You should not be "cut off" 2 days before the end of the contest is my point. You were in first place, and if allowed to continue doing endless assignments for 2 more days on a level playing field you probably would have won. Simple solution to my own original post. Huh. The contest of mayors just started and "#1" already has over 35000 points. Screw the competition, I've lost already. Was looking forward to a good, fair, competition. Didn't get it. How does wrecking my city with dr. Vu for 3000 points make me the better mayor? But Thanks again ea. "Your so pretty"

Good point. I am done with it anyways. Just started hours ago and "1" has over 36000 (posted above). I'll find something else too do for the next 5 days. Very good point though. Thank you.

Spending real money to buy sim cash to get a leg up in the contest of mayors definitely makes it easier but still does not guarantee winning. I just I just completed all of my available assignments for the town league. I only completed the most valuable assignments pesented. If the playing field is completely level I should have had the maximum score. After completing my final task I was listed as #1 on the leader board the contest still had about 2.5 days remaining in the contest. This morning the time remaining in the contest is 1d 20h and my ranking is now 4th place. The first place score is over 6000 above my score.

I wish that EA would at least provide some information on the level of chance involved.

My current, completely unfounded, opinion is that each time a new high score is established during the last few days of the contest the new task added to the assignment sheets as old ones are completed, have increasingly greater values. This would allow other mayors to still have a chance to win and motivate them to either work harder or spend more money.

I will try to put this to the test in the next contest by holding back at the beginning of the contest and pulling out all the stops in the final days of the contest.

I've been trying to figure this one out also. May I ask, did you do the Dr. Vu assignment?

Dont apologize be very upset this contest of mayors is rigged believe that somesimguy is a garbage trash talking lying scum of the earth and im not sorry to say it. He explains in his best smarty * pants way and says were wrong for wanting cool structures and buildings and neat stuff this game offers. So were wrong for this and wrong for spending ALL THAT TIME you mentioned trying to score high score only to get screwed by a "lottery"/"luck-o-draw" scheme by a bunch of evil dont care if you spend your time (hopefully not your money because your smarter then that and would ,like me, have not spent a single cent) and dont care if all that effort in game is not worth a good reward. So see toby your right because it is wrong for these gamemaker scum to tell you you actually have a chance to win the cool stuff in game but actually its not chance its rigged ive tried selecting low points to get high points and all of that * somesimguy says about but he is just a fathead liar im notveven going to waste anymore of my time typing this post out ttyl my citys name is lizerdkitty9 and i am a veteran at this game building * and I DO know whats wrong and right and fair and contest of mayors is NOT FAIR your better off just building a regular city IF you arent drawn in by this UNFAIR addicting game UNFAIR because it is addicting. Oh and ive actually spent about 50.00usd over a 1 year period but thats it and now i dont feel like giving them a cent for simcitybuildit. It was fun to pass SOME time i guess kinda like an arcade in the old days where you spent money for fun with no real emotional attachments (other than the leaderboard lol) but now here with buildit theres a level of "attachment"(addiction)

Yeah, I just agreed with somesimdick because he works for these corporate scumbags (I thought that was quite clear, he tried to cover his * but... for example when I asked him why is some nobody on here at 10:30pm "writing me a book" answering questions, when he "pretty much" states he doesn't care that much for the game plus a lot of OTHER red flags on that one). He's a programmer for ea sports I knew it immediately and now you know, he's not even ALLOWED to tell you anyhow (get it?) I want to keep my city. I've been blacklisted for "5000" hours by ea sports once before, no kidding (not good). They still watch me and sometimes you simply tell people what they want to hear just to shut them up and make them go away. I know I'm right but thank you for saying so. I couldn't agree more with you on everything you said. I too am a veteran of this game with over 2 mil and lvl 76, and never spent a cent, they hate that. Like I stated long ago ea wants $$$ and the rest is simply politics. On a positive note, while everyone's been busy losing the contest of fools, I've built 4 new epic buildings in the last 4 days due to the influx on the global market, due to all the fools emptying their inventory to make wood,( I got their wood right here) (sorry). Speaking of fools, have you noticed ea is making tons of people wreck their city's with high payouts for completing Dr. Vu. assignments, for a 15th place finish (if your lucky), a key and 10G, not me. My city took over a year to build, is, and will remain intact, thanks anyways a-holes great f'n idea. Check out the screenshots I've taken of these "idiots", over the last few days. Please tell me you didn't do this. Lol. Thanks for posting the truth you should get best answer. Good luck
