Yes, it's like any other android game that has ads. When you buy something in the game it removes the ads. Most games the ads are an annoyance. The only problem with that is that in this game the ads are beneficial to earn SimCash over time, so you're actually screwing yourself by buying some.

I still get the ads on an Android device, and I've bought Sim Cash twice on that city before (the 80% off specials - 250 for 1$)

You are lucky if you are getting ads after you bought SimCash. According to chat support buying SimCash does remove the ads. I wish they wouldn't remove the ads though. They are very helpful.

This would be just a guess, but so far, you're the only person who has said they paid real money for something in the game and still have ads. Could it be that you've only paid through a special deal and not at full price? That could be the difference. Not saying it is, but it could make logical sense of it since so many have lost their ads when paying.

That theory sounds reasonable. The second purchase I made was just three days ago, so it's not a legacy code issue (yet), and people should still be able to get away with it.
- Anonymous10 years agoI bought $1.99 worth sim cash and no advertisements anymore.
