I always wondered if there were other ways to gain experience points other than building new residential zones and upgrading them. There are many times when i would travel to a neighboring city through the global marketplace and see that they are at a much higher level than I am at but their city population is much smaller and it appears they have a smaller amount of residential zones. How is it that I have, for example, 50K more residents than another city that is at level 25 and I'm at level 18?
- Anonymous11 years agoThere is only one way to explain that. That is they build new residentials too many and level up so fast that they don't have enough money to build service facilities to meet the residents' demand. So they have to bulldoze the new residentials to satisfy the rest people. Meanwhile they waste too much on new buildings and they don't have very tall buildings to keep the population. And that is a serious problem

Some people just level up, ie they upgrade the building for XP, then demolish it and build/upgrade again.

Tankonyou, you obviously have more specialized buildings than the level 25 city.
