It means... Since last year, reports show game mode, an iOS specific feature has caused issues (despite its design) negatively affecting connection services (lag) since iOS 18, which coupled with other things can cause crashing, freezing, etc.
- Check to see if Apple provides essential services for your device. For instance, iPhone 11 no longer receives crucial updates since last year.
- If turning Game Mode off worsens the matter, more troubleshooting is required.
- First, try playing on a different network, if it improves... It's the server.
- Second, go to Settings--> General-->Background Apps Refresh... If it is on, turn it off
Also, you could try any of these things out of order. They would all be beneficial.
If these don't work, let me know.
- Yes they do. My iPad is on the latest software update.
- if game mode off then fault still happens.
- it happens whatever network I’m on.
- background apps refresh is turned off.

I apologize for my attitude in other threads. I know it's irritating trying to troubleshoot and seemingly nothing being done about it.
One more question: A-Series or M-Series chipsets?
See my post iPhone/iPad for more information.

I have reported this several times. If I want to build anything or sort out services, the screen goes black on my iPad and have to switch to my phone. Been playing this since the app began and I can’t be bothered with it anymore! :(. I think they have created services 2.0 so people switch off as they no longer want to support it.
