Game Feature to solve the annoying Global Trade

How about having a feature where you can click on an item you need, and have it search all everyone’s global trading post for who has it for sale, then give the option to go to that persons city and buy it.

this would fix the endlessly searching for items you need problem. You can easily waste 30 minutes just searching for that one item you need in this game. That one annoying problem has caused most people I’ve known to quit playing. (have had a bunch of clubs) fix that problem and boom you have more people playing this game. And it shouldn’t be that hard to implement.

You could even get it sponsored by Amazon and get a huge permanent ad revenue from them for it.

these days you don’t even have to search for real items you want to buy in life, since it’s so say online to find stuff. So it’s even more annoying when looking for some dumb little virtual item for 30 minutes in a game.

  • That idea of having Amazon sponsor the trade could be applied to another idea. For instance make new buildings named after big corporate chains that will offer to pay for the ad space.

need food items? Go to your Whole Foods store, need electronics? Best Buy. Building materials? Home Depot. Etc…. It would also compartmentalize all the items so when searching for it you are only sifting through 10-20 different items for sale vs the 100 or so items in a general global trade.

and of course could be a new source of revenue.

amazon doesn’t want to sponsor anymore, ok go to wall-mart or temu, or eBay or Costco or Target and get sponsorship from them.

and honestly having those buildings in one of your cities would make the game more realistic and like real life anyways.

people would just be happy to not have to search for a **bleep** watermelon or paint can for hours anymore

  • You guys should hire me for ideas like this. I have zillions of them that would make you more money and make the people playing the game have more fun. Win win

  • The issue with GTHQ is supply and demand. Not searchability.

How many depots out there do you think are actually selling the stuff you are looking for? They're more than likely looking for that stuff too.

  • And it would be the easiest sell for ad space/sponsorship. It’s basically engraining in people’s head ‘oh I need some building materials i have to go to Lowe’s or Home Depot to get it’ or ‘I need a couch and a table and a lawn chair, let me go to wayfair’ etc… and that transfers in real life. If I’m doing marketing for a company that kind of ad space is more appealing to me than forcing someone to watch an ad that people will skip just to speed up something.

Yeah this is true. They should fix that with the tasks in the mayors contest to have people make and or sell the items that are difficult to find

or just have limited versions of them sold in the game within these specialized shops. (Not only from another player)

I do think compartmentalizing items will make it easier to find them though. Right now you have to search in one place for everything.

Yes I agree, seems like all it is is mountain stuff and the same things that you earn over and over. I myself keep listing mountain stuff because I have more mountain expansions than I have stuff for..  the new look is nice except for the accept button on the left. That is annoying.
