Game gets frozen with error code 17

Game played on iPad Air 5 th Gen, 8 GB ram, 256 GB flash memory. This started about 4 months ago and is now happening several times during play. I also play on iPhone but no issues with it, just the iPad.

This is what I get and the only way to resolve it is to restart the game. It seems that when I switch between cities or check CoM tasks where the game has to go to the server, it freezes with this message.

Any fixes available for this problem?
