scott memberg, I have noticed that a lot in the last day or two. You have to exit out and re click the city trade. By then whatever you where looking for is gone.
I have also noticed in the last week, the trade is mostly full of steel, wood and black rocks, WTF it is like the GTHQ is flooded with those items. It just gets worse and worse.
- Anonymous10 years agoPlease please please stop advertising steel and wood. It takes up valuable space and wastes everyone's time. You can make these items in 2 minutes or less, no one needs to buy them from the global trade.
If we stopped advertising this low level easy to get stuff, it would run so much smoother, and display the items that people actually want. - Anonymous10 years ago
AtinTX6203 - I have seen it as well, i have come to the conclusion that we will just have to grin and bear it until that glorious day when our wishes and prayers will be answered. I have however have 2 cities one that is able to grab more lower level items and my main which can grab what he can.

Ultimately, the problem is the price caps. If everyone were free to set the price as they see fit, and all of the buyers could see all of the sales of that item, the prices would stabilize at a market-driven price that would reflect the rarity of the item, the effort it takes to get the item, and the quantity of that item that is needed. Using one example, storage depot expansion items are pretty rare, being that they cannot be made but only awarded from the game, and in my game at least, the storage bars are the most rare of the three items needed for expansion. Currently they are price capped at 650 each -- I suspect that if there was no cap, the two common items would end up being around 2 or 3k and the storage bars would end up being about twice that much. At those prices, they wouldn't sell instantly, and someone willing to pay that much would likely actually be able to find them. Of course, I may have underestimated the pricing, and they could end up at 30K or 60K each -- who knows -- but they would eventually find some price to stabilize at.

It's been DAYS since I've been able to purchase dozer blades or storage bars. I'm guessing this is by design so you have to purchase simcash. Though, when I DID see them, they were always gone before I could purchase them. It's very frustrating. I've found more luck clicking on random items for storage and expansion hoping to find blades or bars there. Unfortunately, most tries, I can do that less than 5 times before the game crashes.
IMO this new GTM is far more frustrating than the old one.
- Anonymous10 years agoI have had these issues as well. As a result, I can't keep up with the levels. I could keep my Sims happier if I was refunded the Simoleons. Also, I am not receiving the parts necessary to expand my city.
- Anonymous10 years agoEA will never fix this because they don.t mind selling *
- Anonymous10 years agoA possible solution would be to have a weight system, where previous selections would influence the priority of a buyer. For example, if someone tries to buy grills several times, each attempt would increase the number of grills displayed in the trade, and would also increase the priority of that buyer relative to others (arbitration could happen during the load screen to the other city for example) until that buyer successfully either buys or sells a grill, and the priority would then reset.
