Material Storage and City Storage

Hello, I am comeback Simcity Built a few day ago. Before, I can use City Storage to store all items. Now, I am introduced to build Material Storage which seems new storage but it was originally for 10 slots only. It is too little for me to collect material items: metal, wood, plastic,...The problem here is that they are all important materials that every player needs to produce but EA only gives 10 slots. In addition, the cost of upgrading Material Storage is also too expensive, each upgrade only gets 1 slot while with City Storage it is 5 slots. 
Can anyone explain this to me?

    This is still in a Beta mode where the developers are still trying to get it up and running same as when they introduced the rail stations etc. give it another month or so am sure it will be sorted.

    i actually don’t have it yet as it is only for a select few and am hoping it will be a good add to the game,
