We could not agree with you more. That acquisition by PIF - Affinity Partners an investment firm held by the Saudi Arabians will be finalized at the start of fiscal 2027, which begins in April 2026. EA's greed was just too high to turn this deal down. And is anyone surprised at this latest action by EA?
There will be a silver lining in this - EA won't be the owner of Electronic Arts anymore. But having said that who knows what lies on the horizon.
The one thing that you have stated that everyone should pay attention to, is guarding your personal credentials and financials. Why in the world would I want the Saudi Arabians to have this information? They cannot be trusted - they have a long time standing track record of manipulating the oil markets, causing oil prices to be inflated over their value.
With that said there are certain things one can do to protect their private information..... but will this be enough?

Personal data is protected by the jurisdiction that you live in. Not by the jurisdiction that the company operates in.
The sale of a business does not alter this.

What planet do you live on? If you purchased something through a game it goes through their internal accounting department. If that accounting department has been sold to an offshore corporation that is your jurisdiction. If what you are suggesting is true then we would all be protected by our purchases through a singular point. Which is just not true.
