Opened 5th region...finally!

Today, after about 11 years of playing this highly addictive game, I added Limestone Cliffs as my final region. Whoopee!

It was a tough slog getting to 10 million population. I've completed mangled my beautiful cities. I robbed from my Capital City to fill in my regions. I had to store most of my train stations to make use of the land they occupy. I used up most of what I thought was a lifetime supply of Platinum Keys, sold off every item in my inventory to pay for new buildings, and ignored other temptations such as the COM.

It took days of dedicated effort, but I did it! Yay! Now, it's time to get back to work fixing all the damage I've done and building some Limestone dwellings.

Virgin territory.

I'm just over 3 million population away from unlocking my 5th region - also Limestone Cliffs - I'm doing my level best to ignore the population in my main city and focus on upgrading the homes in my regions to hit that magic 10 million. My storage has enough to fill another 4 regions so I'm chomping at the bit to get there! Alas I cannot ignore CoM but assignments to upgrade homes for example is an incentive to help me on my way, and I watch out for any buildings I get as rewards that I can swap out for others that might help add more population. Seasonal Mayor's Pass buildings that are upgradeable are a good way of swapping out landmarks, entertainment etc that have lesser value.

    Well done 👏

I did the same about a year or so ago, time flies - I was very pleased at the time but now not so and I don't really know why lol On one hand, yep another milestone and all that but when I think about it, regions are more hassle than they are worth really. They don't pay taxes, which has bugged the life out of me since I found that out. The premium items that you can make there are not worth the hassle, or the time they take and not forgetting the ingredients required but hey ho, you're in an elite club now,  enjoy! 😉
