I have upgraded two properties which haven't registered in the daily challenge. They were specialised residential properties, not standard residential properties so I'm not sure if this is the issue but the challenges don't seem to include specialised residential properties.
Check the forum thread called "trains". People are reporting there not only this, but many of the multiple errors the new update has.
Until now all types of houses were considered as residential houses. Surely this is not the issue. The thing is people are reporting that this daily task and train daily task don't count actions properly. It's happening to everybody. I have checked that and also that after completing a weekly task the game hasn't showed me the next one. I stand with nine weekly tasks.
