Yes linking through facebook is fine in fact its the only way I connect with friends in the game apart from a few actives on Game Center. But I do have some concerns as I am thinking of using my droid phone as well as my iPad. Its my understanding that if I switch to droid I wont be able see my friends who are playing through Game Center. If thats true then I would hardly call this game cross platform!

I'm sorry I shouldnt discourage anyone from trying the game on a new device. But until they improve cross platform functionality and the user interface I won't be switching devices.
