Re: how is tax calculated?

@tommy- tax rate is not based on the "awesomeness" of a building. A maxed out scrubby building has identical population and tax revenue as a maxed out amazing building. I tested and proved this theory weeks ago and have had it confirmed multiple times. Check this thread for more discussion http://answers.ea.com/t5/SimCity-BuildIt-General/Wealth-Forecast-Luxurious/m-p/4208332#U4208332 you can also check scbuildit.com "How to build skyscrapers" in the comments section for solid proof.

http://m.imgur.com/a/YmqbR this is the screenshot evidence. Note this test is completely isolated with no other actions happening during the test. I demolished willowick condos which was originally built when the wealth forecast was premium grade but had by now changed to luxurious. I put a new RZ in its place and upgraded to Elysian heights, which is luxurious grade. You can see population and hence tax revenue are identical between the two building types. (Note the pics are in reverse order but its still obvious. Be sure to scroll right down to the fourth image which is the first in sequence.)

Land value and building quality do not effect the tax rate per pop. My city all res zones are the highest land value built in dark blue zones with edu/trans/ent overlaps. After a complete tear down and rebuild all buildings are luxurious. I have 250k+pop @100% happiness and get 14$k per 24H.
