Re: if I put something for sale can I cancel it and get it back for me?

No, sorry. Once you put it up for sale it is gone. If you pay $1 (Sim)  to delete it, it just goes away. The only way to get it back is to have a friend buy it and sell it back to you if you can.

The best thing to do is leave it there and let Mayor Dan buy it or keep advertising it.

As much as I love this game and the new features the auctions have always had something more to be desired.  It is so dumb that you can't cancel an auction that you posted, oh but you can pay a sims dollar to cancel it.....really??? The trading is the absolute worst thing about this game. But I know why you make it so hard to find items on the global trade....it is to hopefully get the player so frustrated they will just pay real money to just buy the item.  And it seems the game knows what item you actually need and are looking for and will give you every other item and guess why? To get you frustrated enough to purchase it for real money.  Example:  I have needed three cameras to increase my storage space, so I needed 22 of each item and every bubble that is a storage item will be the lock or the bars (can't remember exact name) and before I found a camera on the ah I had 33 bars, 34 locks and 19 cameras.  Also the contest of mayors....I just started getting back into the game four weeks after contest started and I have gotten first place in all leagues up to city league, but since I didn't sign up for it I don't win the buildings or anything and didn't realize it until I was up there.  So I spend all this time and resources for what? The gold tokens and simpoleans...I just want the buildings that I earned, but since they are exclusive to each season I'll never have a chance to get them again even though I put in the work and earned them and got up to rank 11.

This feels like a design mistake.

It was so obvious to me that canceling a sale would send an item back to my inventory that I was really confused, then upset, when I couldn't find it there.

Now I've just canceled (and lost) an expensive order with a mis-tap of my finger and am pretty peeved. (I was frustrated enough by this "flaw" to re-enable my EA account to tell you about it)

  • Discovered this SimCity BuildiT game quite late.. Its 2018 and love it as retro PC gaming remake of sort.. Trading mech could have been a game on its own.. buy low selling high kind of thingie.. but EA really stubborn to fix some quirks.. very non logical & money trap =(
  • You are right the Global trade market has to be rigged.   Need something,  but nothing but spices, icecream bars, pizza refresh after refresh.

    Getting pretty peeved myself.

Let’s assume for a moment it’s not rigged and actual mayor’s are feeding the Global Trade Market perhaps they’re putting up excess items from CoM assignments, or trying to

trying to make some simoleons by selling high dollar items knowing Daniel will take them, especially feeders or even that some items or being held back for the club...personally I don’t think rigged is the issue.
