Re: Looking for a demotion !!!

Gotcha, I was afraid of dr. Vu (lol) and thought that his damage was more severe than that, (not so easy to fix or even worse permanent). Thanks for explaining that it's quite simple to fix his damage. I still don't know if I'll ever use him but it's good to know. The Contest is going lousy for me, took a few low paying jobs, a few higher ones, but nothing really big yet, oh well it looks like another bad round for me. Maybe next time. Thanks for the info. and good luck.

Back on topic, doesn't this answer the question? It's in the rules (FAQ) section at the bottom, how do leagues work. Seems to me you could just get 0 points, and probably get demoted. Off topic: SomeSimGuy if I use "Vu" and he destroys say the Empire State Building or the Eiffel Tower, I can just rebuild it? Sorry, I feel stupid for asking this, but as stated I've never used that feature and am clueless, just trying to learn more.

Vu doesn't destroy Specializations.  Only sim inhabited buildings.  I get irritated when it hits my Epic buildings and the world stops till they're fixed again. LOL  That's the extent of it though.  I can usually fix it all right away, but sometimes I don't have an item and it could take an hour or two to make.  I was afraid of what damage he would cause too until after I started using him.  Now it's no big deal.  I delayed until I hit level 32.  Had I known as soon as I unlocked it I could have expanded specializations a lot faster than I have been.  They're slowly coming along now, but a whole lot faster than they were with just shipyard keys.

Dr Vu only destroys residential buildings, never anything else. Repairs depend on Dr Vu level and which disaster you play. Repairs are equivalent to one upgrade of a building (generally speaking).

In the mayor contest, you should drop a level if you are the lowest scoring. I've never played (I'm concentrating on epic challeges, > 50 cheetah buildings now).

The Vu Tower only damages Residential buildings. How many varies with the Level of your Vu tower and the type of disaster you launch but so does the reward i. e. a Level 7 Meteor III Attack damages 4 buildings but provides 3 Keys and 500 Semolions upon repair, while a Level 7 Alien Invasion I damages 2 buildings and returns 2 Keys no cash. Repair requirements are on par with the final upgrade of any building, they do designate the disaster repair requirements as Easy, Medium or Hard, I really can't tell much of a difference just a slight variance in the items needed Easy more Steel and Wood and Hard more Donuts etc.

You're definitely missing out on an important asset if you are not utilizing the Vu Tower. The only downside is collecting enough Vu Specialty Tokens which can be hard to find at times and an additional strain on your storage if you have not kept up with upgrading it. I try to keep at least 10 ea. of the 3 styles of tokens on hand at all times. The amount needed to launch an attack varies with disaster type and level. A level 7 Meteor III attack requires some combination of 5 Tokens, so you can see how quickly you can expend them.
