Re: Migrating a club from Arena 4 to Arena 1

Hi Rogville1

we did the same with our club. It took us about 3 months to climb back to Savannah arena, facing countless inactive clubs.

So if you’re willing to spend so much time with restarting war of Clubs you can go ahead and try it. Personally, I don’t think it’s worth it. If I were you, I would play a couple of wars on the current arena, letting the opponents win & collect as many cheap war items as possible.

Needless to say, that if you all abandon your old club, it won’t be accessible & valid anymore.

Kind regards

    Hi Rogville
Me and some friends rebooted the club in the first days of January, for the same reasons you told (more or less).
Club 1.0 was at about 3400 when we buried it. Club 2.0 is now at 3480. So we needed little less than 4 months to get the points we had before.
But meanwhile active clubs have increased points, so if we talk about rank, we're still behind the average rank we were before rebooting. I think we'll need at least 5-6 more wars to get in the low part of the range we were before.
This experience gave some positive things and some negative ones:
Negative side is: wars were very, very boring. 99% of clubs we met were inactive ones. That means too that even if goals were lower on firsts arenas, chests weren't so easy to reach, 'cause not being attacked means less war items to collect, that in this case you can get only with war market and/or war deliveries. Another reason was that inactive clubs didn't repair damages, so you were able zeroing them just one time. The problem was that we needed to equally divide the targets, to let every club members get points and chests, and that resulted in being able to get few chests, expecially when matching with 10 members clubs.
So Yes, we improved our cards, but less than we expected.
Positive side is: who didn't waste war-simoleons buying war items now have a stock of power-ups and war-simoleons that will result very, very useful when wars will start to be challenging. For example, I have a stock of 30 (each) jackpots, umbrellas and freezers and almost 30k war-simoleons.
Would I reccomend someone to do the same experience? Well, I don't know. I could give a better judgment when we'll start playing challenging wars: if we'll result stronger than before, then I would say yes, reboot your club. But if we'll find out that nothing has changed, then we'll have wasted 5 months with useless playing.
  • As others have mentioned, it is not so easy, in fact, I have been able to claim better chests in a high league, against a good enemy, they attack a lot = resources and targets to attack, then, good chests.

a while ago we had to change the club, because the president we had wasn't active, we started a new club, from the first arena, and was a pain... yes, it is true that chests are cheap, but the reason is that actually claiming points is not easy. The problems:

    1. In the first arena, the boosters are not available, so, you can't use jackpots or energy pumps. So, you practically need to launch 12 B Movie Monsters if you want 12000 points for gold.

    2. The energy is incredibly slow, you get 1 energy in 15 mins, so, you just get 4 energy in one hour! , you need two hours to launch one B Movie Monster and remember you need like 12 to claim that ''cheap'' chest... (Energy booster not allowed )

    3. The enemy is dead, that was the most annoying thing of all, we ''fought'' a complete club with only levels 1, none of them, in all the war, none !, repaired just even 1 house, and also 0 points in the CoM, is like the system just put those club so you can rank, but those clubs are dead, i think, none of them started the war or what? idk... but they never respond, i was really annoying to know that Arena 1, Arena 2 and Arena 3 was like that, yes, it took us 3 months to move forward, when we reached the Arena 3, we was hoping an enemy who at least repair one house, but nothing there, still all dead, notice that in my team we are 11, and we all wants chests lol, so never was enough even to get 3 blue chests... ☹️ Also, we have to always do deliveries, during those three arenas... because we never got cheaps parts by being attacked, was really expensive and hard, was just at final in the Arena 3 when they started too wake up a little.

The Arena 4 was also bad for us, the enemy started to be more  ''alive'', but they just conceded and don't fight, when they look us and notice that we have more levels than they, they just don't want to fight back, is like they think why loose resources and time? we can't win this, just forget this war... , so they repair some buildings but never the last one, and stay like that all the war.

Finally we are in Arena 5, and finally we get enemies strong enough who decide to fight and we can claim even gold chests, because they give cheap parts and also they rebuild if you bubble they fast before they attack and before they get their chests, so they need to go out to make points, with that you can force they to be constantly a target for you.

So, I will recommend that you do not go back, but it is still your decision.

  • Thanks BlazinsZ and Meesfeet for sharing here what I’ve heard privately for months now...I imagine the dead clubs are not creations of EA but rather the former active clubs that have simply quit playing the game. The root cause of the issue has been identified and the appropriate corrective counter measure has been provided...well done EA for jumping right on it and fixing your issue. Well done...

    Hi PinnacleValley! 🙂
Of course it do exists thousands of dead cities that EA doesn't remove, but are we sure these clubs are dead ones?
The strange thing is that all of those "inactive clubs" somehow are not inactive, 'cause matching in a war requires both clubs to declare war, therefore those clubs still have some kind of life. If they were dead clubs, they simply wouldn't declare wars!
If they were feeder cities, at least they would have had to repair some damages to stock war items for main cities, but they didn't.
Maybe the truth is that we're warriors and we're simply playing the wrong game.
Here's my theory: Historically, SimCity games focused on building a city. People playing SC games are -probably- not searching for a war game, but for a game where to have fun building a city. When I first installed SCBI that was what I was looking for. I didn't expected to find a war feature (indeed, there weren't wars at that time).
So, MAYBE, lot of people simply doesn't care at all about wars and simply declare it to help COM if required.
Wars are a part of the game, but my question is: is it a main part of the game? How many players see wars as a main part of the game?
Of course, there's a core of warrior-players like me, like PinnacleValley and many more, living wars as a main part of the game (I could bore you all with numbers I estimated, but I won't). In my case, somehow wars became more important than improving my city. I often read pessimistic posts on this forum, made by warriors like us, where a catastrophic future for SCBI is prospected with actual war system. But my recent experience made me start wondering if warriors like us are simply focusing too much on a part of the game that maybe are not so important, at least for the main part of the players.
As said, that's just a theory!
  • Hi Meesfeet, of course you’re right there are some folks in these dead cities...more likely than not a feeder that’s serving as a placeholder who probably start the wars to pickup cheap war items for their primary city or club. I will readily concede I’m a fierce competitor but I’m far from a warrior in this war game...fact of the matter I’m one of many that have taken a sabbatical from the war games probably permanently or at least until someone at EA recognizes their issues and addresses them accordingly. I enjoyed the war game for the first several months when folks actually competed but then came the greed factor and the blantant use of the strategy...quite frankly there are only so many targets in a game and the use of the strategy created a lot of frustration and even winning didn’t matter, you walked away knowing you wasted your time with no entertainment value gained (great job)...then the blantant disregard of customer complaints made it that much more less appealing.

Don’t get me wrong, I recognize this is perhaps the first time in the sun for some folks, translated they are being recognized as being talented and perhaps even great by some of their peers and it means so much they all willing to spend big money to stay there. Sadly even these over zealous warriors will eventually burn out...nature of the beast.

As for me I will enjoy the Sim City part of the game and continue to work with two wonderful ladies who are diligently working to provide a supportive and encouraging club environment with the focus on CoM and assisting each other in developing our cities and achieving our personal goals for the game...I’ve been fortunate to play this game with some really good people and simply wish to pass on some of the kindness. All the while I will watch patiently (ok, probably not) to see if EA starts to recognize they have a major problem that’s causing ramifications far beyond this game and at least address this stupidity and perhaps then I will accept the standing invitation to participate with a top 50 war club...or not - it really doesn’t matter, I’ve had my day in the sun...

    Thanks to everyone who responded

Lots of pros and * as I would expect.

An option we are now looking at is starting a new club in Arena 1 with a couple of feeder cities and running it parallel to our main club. Take the new club high in Arena 2 or low in Arena 3 and then migrate the existing club across.

We think this a better option than a complete reboot. Tbh we have an issue with inactive members also, so the idea of a fresh start is appealing too.

    Thanks again for the replies

The insights here are very useful for my team as we are exploring the possibility of migrating to Arena 1 to escape the current nonsense we are facing.

But looks like the same issue still exists. It’s always the shields that make the game boring. Unfortunately, EA has no intention to address it.

We will not migrate from the looks of things. But it is matter of time we may drop club wars if things don’t change. My team’s most fearsome warrior is talking about not warring anymore. It’s only for the club that she carries on. For me, it’s for the club that I still play this game. I really wanted to rage quit few days ago. And it was not the first time I felt that way after dealing with so much nonsense from opponents.
