Looks like the refund value isn’t always 75% of the expected value. For example, I just demolished a regional building that was supposed to yield 600 wave simoleons but it actually gave 400.
This is so odd.. and messed up.

@Actionj925 Yes this has been happening for a couple of weeks at least and I am aware that at least 2 of us have reported it to support. Nothing appears to have been done to address the problem as yet.
I have noticed that it only happens when you have more than one of the buildings you wish to demolish. In my case I had 2 of the big gas stations. To build the first costs 1800 and the second costs 2400. When you demolish the second one the message says the refund is 1200 but you only get 900 credited to your account.
If you only have the one gas station at 1800, when you demolish it it says 900 refund and that is what it pays.
Same happens with the lower cost buildings as well.

- Mahler19896 years agoNot applicable@BlackjackWidow Yes it is almost as if it is giving you the refund for demolishing the previous building. To take my example further. If you had a third gas station and demolished it it would have cost you 3200 to build and the 50% refund would be stated as 1600 but only 1200 is credited. Which is the refund amount you should have received for demolishing a second building. I think the reason it does not affect the first building is because there is no lower amount for it to default to.

Wow, @Mahler1989 , looks like you've got this. As @BlackjackWidow said, "excellent insight" 😉
However, I too still hope someone is working on making sure the text matches up with the actual amount being refunded.
Peace to ALL
