i have been following this thread as well as exploring what i can in the game, learning whatever i can to see what is the real deal and i think i figured out the blunder, you guys should have provided way more details about what we need to do in the changes/updates once we added a region, and although i get wanting to add more items to the overall game, which is fine, you did it in a very messy way.
i did realize last night that this is where having a club with active members is where being successful in this early on is going to make a big difference.
so all of you that have club members, get them to start talking and start trading new items with each other. hopefully members have all selected different regions so you can trade items with each other. for example, if i have green valley and another member has cactus canyon and another has limestone then you have something to work with. other than that, you are dead fish in the water and will have a hell of a time playing any aspect of this game.
they just upped the social aspect of this game with this update. now you need other mayors to play with and trade with until you can get all regions up and running yourself.
also, do not be building new residential zones in these regions unless you have a lot of coins to buy the resources you need to make your sims happy 100% first. you can build your factory and store in these regions and nothing else. and wait on designing/building that city up until you have the money, the space in storage and land to move forward, successfully.
not everyone is going to put this together quickly but those that are complaining should be looking for solutions instead of an easy way out. the game is meant to be challenging and solving the challenges is half the fun. now im not saying EA didnt drop the ball here on some level, bc i think they did and probably should have either worked 1 region in at a time in the game, or offered an easier way for us to make coin and gain storage expansions easier prior to this upgrade and i dont mean the lousy 50 or 65% cash discount on the storage items. 8 of each when you need 14? really? that is just a slap in the face if you ask me. what we do need is a real ability to be able to earn these pieces you need to expand onto the regions, rather than just in random pops of bubbles. there has to be other ways to obtain these vital pieces.
so now that you gave us all this great new stuff to have fun with, now why dont you give us some tools that we can actually use to play it. like a new FAQ section? some other way to store items or expand on what we do have? make maybe a club market? and even expand what we see on the market now that there is more to get?
i think this is a great thing in the making but you certainly didnt do it with clear direction. that is something that should be address, i just dont understand how all the money and people on this, and this is the final result put out to the public. this is what really baffles me.
