Road upgrade obvious bug... Related to the service buildings

There is a bug in the game where a a long road can be become from total clean to red in one blow if you add one building... Or where a yellow read become red after restarting the game... This could happen more ofter actually when you change the position of a service building within the road or moved out and in accidently which makes the yellow road colour warning completely useless... Solve the problem or you will recieve a only delete button (not from me, but from millions of users) instead of money, since you ignored our complain about the HQ...

  • It's not a bug. I asked support about it and got this response. They think it's fun everyone else finds it annoying.

Hello Mayor, thanks for contacting us.

To introduce new levels of fun, visible activity in your city we've been developing the road networks. There are 3 additional road levels now available in SimCity BuildIt. 'Level 4' roads feature tree-lined avenues with tourist buses; 'Level 5' has limousine-filled boulevards with your citizens strolling along the side walks; and on 'Level 6' you'll see street car avenues with trams on tracks and exciting new animations!

As each new road level relates to population density, if you already have a great many people living in your city you might see these new successive road upgrade requests sooner than would normally be expected. We appreciate this could be frustrating if you saw these all at once, so we've staggered each 'red' warning to minimise complaints from your citizens - there is now a "cool down" period between each 'red' upgrade request to give you time to react and gather what's necessary.

It's also worth noting that if citizens abandon a residential building for any reason (including lack of road upgrades), it's only a temporary state. They'll automatically move back in once normal service has resumed. So as soon as the roads are upgraded, they'll be back!

As commercial and industrial buildings also generate traffic, you might see these industrialized roads requiring upgrades too.

Thanks again for contacting us, and I'll be sure to pass your experiences on to our game team. Please let us know if there's anything else we can help you with
  • i have 1.6M sims and since the update I have blown thru literally $1,000,000 upgrading roads. I've found if it tells you to upgrade and you leave it red then that will be the only one needing an immediate upgrade so when I pops up on a really small road don't upgrade it. Leave that building or two go vacant until you've amassed enough money to pay for many more upgrades.

Unfortunately this is not a bug. I've always defended this game but this is the last straw. Even when they screwed up Vu, game would have still been okay. Now, its the headache of upgrading roads. I don't think anyone can play this game now even if you have 5 million coins. You probably will always be upgrading the same road for 100,000k. It's quite clear what they are trying to do. I would be happy to pay for a game up front just once but thats not how EA rolls. They probably will get you to pay real 20 bucks for expansion items and you get 2 out of 40 dozer blades. That's why it's not worth spending real money and they just don't get it. All these horrible new changes just drives people away from the game not tempt them to spend real money lol.
