Well, I built the airport. Then I started making Parisian residential areas. Then I found out that it's super-annoying, for me, at least:-
1) The cargo plane isn't there for long. By the time I make the stuff to load on it, especially if I'm busy with real life and can't look constantly, the plane has flown off and now the stuff I made is the wrong stuff - and maybe it'll take several hours to make the required items.
2) There's no way to actually get the specific pieces I need to upgrade the Parisian zones. Just pot luck if I manage to actually send the damn plane. (this is kind alike the omega building, but at least for that all you do is pay 7k simoleons for more omega material)
3) I can't even get rid of the pesky incomplete Parisian residential zones. There's no delete option for an un-built zone. WHY NOT??
So the only low-hassle way for me to solve this is going to be to pay simcash to build those zones (100 each!!) and then I can delete them. 100 simcash is not a trivial amount, especially to get rid of something I don't think I want, so I don't feel real enthusiastic about that.
Therefore I might just quit playing altogether and quit buying any overpriced simcash. I'll be sorry to in a way. But if all these other zones are the same then the game will suck for me from here on in, and while I know EA is out to make money, not provide us with free games, I'm not going to spend my hard-earned on something that annoys me.
Why can't there be some credible system to create (or, yes, get from the airport) the specific things we need - like, if it needs french bread, then supply XYZ items to the airport (in the same was as for other stores etc) and the bread is delivered? Make the airport work a bit like a factory, in other words - it wouldn't even be so bad if the output was still random, if there wasn't the time limit on supplying the goods.
