Yes, I too LOVE most of the enhancements that were just released the other day! The updated 3 wide storage layout, updated artwork, and what appears to me to be slightly faster load times. But the change in the zoom is soooooo annoying! At minimum, please please please go back to what it was before this last update, but I'd really love it if you could make the zoom out even further than what it used to be. When searching cities for free gifts, going through epic building challenges, etc, it would sure be nice to be able to zoom out far enough to see the entire city without any scroll. Basically, I'm envisioning it being just like how Clash of Clans handles their zoom abilities.
Although I mainly sought out this forum to discuss this zoom issue, while I'm here I might as well provide some other feedback I've thought of over the last 2 years of playing this game.
These are in no particular order: 1.) I know this might be kinda big from a programming and server storage standpoint, but being able to have some sort of "City Editor" available would be nice. I'm envisioning that you'd be able to edit and save your entire city in a separate area, without it affecting the "live" city. That way, I can maybe make several recreations of my city, but not make it "live" until I'm 100% satisfied. Once again, kind of like how Clash of Clans does it (sorry to keep referencing that same game, but they're similar in the fact that both are building villages/ cities.) 2.) When doing an Epic Building "challenge" to upgrade the building to receive copper, silver, gold cheetah coins, it would be really nice if the individual point challenges had left and right arrows on the top just like the building upgrades, airport city deliveries, or repair disaster buildings do. That way, you can quickly go between each challenge without having to go out, zoom out, then back in to the next. 3.) I know this has been asked before, but I don't believe I've ever seen an EA response on if it's being worked on, or if it's not in the cards. In the Global Trade HQ, it would be sooo cool if there's was some sort of either filtering, search, or check-marking type system in order to search for specific items. There's nothing more annoying when looking for 1 particular item, and just having to sit hitting refresh every 30 seconds for hours on end lol. Now, to go along with that request, I personally think it would require my #4 request to work properly. 4.) I believe the sale of items should be more of a capitalistic nature. What I mean by that, is it should follow more of a supply and demand type model. So the way I see it working in the game is to have a set "base price", or "suggested base price" for an item like it currently has, but then allow you to manually change the price to whatever amount you want. So for example, let's use a blue Storage Lock in this situation. So currently, when I go to sell a lock, the game starts the pricing at 487 gold coins, and only goes up to 650 gold coins as a max. With the new system, it would allow me to not only go above 650, but it would allow me to even list these coveted items as high as I want to allow supply and demand to work. So maybe I feel that a storage lock is worth 10,000 gold coins, I should be able to list it at that price, and if someone is desperate for a lock, and is willing to pay 10,000 for it, then awesome! In the end, when I look at the Global Trade as a whole, it seems like there could be some tweaks to make it more real world. In general, highly coveted items you can't manufacture or produce should cost waaaaaay more than they do now, I should be able to treat my store like a real life store with pricing, and if the market is overly saturated with the same items, it would encourage people to build other items that have a small supply...or a high demand. 5.) It sure would be nice to be able to take items back out of my trade depot if they're not selling, or if I wind up needing them. So I say, get rid of "Daniel" buying items that have been for sale for a long time, and just let me manage my own store just like real life. It never seems to fail that after I am forced to put a whole bunch of one product in my store, I wind up needing it back an hour later. I'd love to be able to pull it back. I'm sure the developers feel that people might abuse this as a separate storage facility, but I think the game would adapt around that, and it would work if the pricing followed the structure outlined above.
Alright, now that I've written a novel, I'd love for a reply back from the Admin or Devs letting me know if these have already been talked about or not, and if there's any plans for them. Any sort of response is good so that we know if we should keep providing feedback on the issue or not. I just want to say that seriously guys I love what you're doing with this game, and please make sure you keep taking our feedback seriously. All of the big, popular (money making :-) ) apps out there, listened to their users and adapted to the demands. Thanks for listening, and keep it up!
