To all,
We to are getting those ads. These "forced watched video ads" have replaced the "original ads". Of course everyone knows that the original ads had a choice or not whether to watch them but who would not want to watch as they offered free prizes afterwards. These new ads do not offer free prizes.
We started a support ticket straight up, that was last Tuesday, January 22nd. All we received back from EA and the support tech team was that "we will send your comments to the development team for review". And if you have suggested anything through the in-game support mechanism or this feedback board that is what they tell everyone. It remains to be proven that the tech team really follows through with what they say they are going to do.
For now it seems that; again, we have no voice in these game changes. Deaf ears perhaps.
Also we mentioned "opinion bubbles" in our support ticket. These sporadically show up in your own Capital City, your Regional Cities and while visiting other cities. These bubbles now produce the lower end items most of the time. Not what we have seen the last 4 years of playing this game. The tech teams answer/reply was "you must be getting unlucky". Not so fast tech team. Our Mayors Club members have said the same thing that we have said. Free prizes have been reduced across the board.
Another issue we brought up to them is that when canceling building plans or a COM assignments for "newer better ones" has been changed. 90% percent of the time the very same requirements for upgrading a building or activating the COM assignment - come right back as if you never canceled it in the first place. We were all sold on this ideal from EA, "don't like the plans" for upgrading have the architect draw up new ones. Not anymore.
Also when canceling building plans or an assignment for better ones - there are no more "watch videos" to speed up the 30 minute wait time. Either you wait or spend SImcash to expedite this process.
We simply do not understand the motive of EA. They are the ones who put these "rules" in effect as a guideline to playing this game. Now EA is saying we don't like the rules anymore so we are going to change them.
Like we said after over 4 years of playing this game - the rules have changed many, many times and we wonder what in the world are they trying to achieve here. Bottom line here is that whether you spend money or not BOTH sides must adhere to fair play.
