Starting Over not a bad thing

Take a look at starting over, that would be , uninstalling the present game and reinstall.

The lessons learned are very valuable to restart with a stronger stance,

  • The gane sets you up to place the first house in the front row.  This row show be reserved for a street to promote traffic.
  • Not necessary to spend a penny of real dolllars.  Like many of you mentioned you can climb from level 1 to 10 fast, being patient.
  • SInce after level 5 steel and wood are produce you have enough reserve, every offer you get to sell accept to get simoleons. Later, this can be done with seeds also
  • Parks, road expansions and new neighborhoods are essential to get happiness and improve taxes.
  • Cover needs for water, sewer, fire and police ASAPto keep sims happy.  Start with smaller stations
  • Try to get fast to 20,000 population to get the cargo ship dock feature.  It allows ou to sell your cheap(steel wood, fruits) stuff faster.
  • Be patient with the trade depot, it takes about 48 hours per deal but you can sell all your freebies (cameras, mech shovel, etc.) for 2K to 3K, or more simoleons

As a result, I am at happiness 91, level 13, after 1 day, 16,000 population.

Very nice game, I am hopeing that they also port it to PC level.

Starting over isn't a bad thing no, you avoid making the small mistakes again.. Planen better and get a happy city in return.

I took it a little slower the 2nd time, and stayed at lvl 9 for a couple of days.. Grinding seeds to have enough for the 1st service at lvl 10, and the result is im now lvl 11 whit a population of 21k and 98 % happy.

I like to rush things and learned the hard way to not do that. I've managed to correct it by stopping upgrading buildings and moving the houses/apartments near the fire stations and moving the parks away a bit. (Only way to get all the houses covered by the fire stations.) I figure in a few days I will catch everything up and be good to go. My Sims aren't the happiest right now but nothing is burning down. I did add factories to get them producing goods which seemed to help and power plants. No one is no longer in the dark at least.

    I did the saMe thing...

I like that game, as it gives you the "freedom" to pace yourself.

Now en I have restarted once, I always have a look at what the next level has installed... And halt my upgrades before I have enough money...

I thought about doing that but I'm almost lvl 32 with 370k population.

My city is pretty cool atm and I would like to start over but on antoher device, with another account.

However I disagree about your tip where you say to use smaller stations. At the very beginning, yes. But as you can see in the image below, it's always better to use the bigger ones.

You need to take in consideration space, area, capacity, price, dirt, etc.

In my case, I really need space, so I built a Fusion Plant, which is the most expensive, however it's the best space x capacity benefit.

I saw the error of my ways early on, and quickly changed them to avoid problems. I'm on level 10, with 72k, and my people worship the ground I walk on. Study the statistic maps constantly. Look at your levels. A simple switch of location can drastically improve your numbers.
