Tax Rate Reduced

My tax rate has been reduced to 8k for 24 hours, it was 16k for 24 hours.

I am at level 31 with over 400k population with 100% happines, any idea why?

I have the same problem, except I've got 250k in population........and 8023 simleons in taxes.... Is that normal? A few days before a had 14k simleons..... Please help!!!

  • Some players have noticed a glitch in the game where the tax income can be almost halved if you're playing online compared to playing offline. Is there a chance this may be the issue for either of you?

Or how about this tax issue... I have two cities, one with about 40k pop, and one with over 900k pop. Both are at 100% happiness.

The one with 40k makes 8k/day in taxes, while the one with over 900k makes only 21k/day in taxes. Twenty times the population only provides ~2.5 times the tax revenue. I'm pretty sure I could have sold all the loot it took to upgrade those buildings for more than I'll ever earn in taxes from them.

In case you all didn't know already, building upgrades are going to cost FAR more than they'll pay (2k coins for an upgrade requiring a couple burgers and green smoothies is hardly worth it, so don't base your coin strategy on that for too long.)

Or just don't count on taxes or upgrades for income. You have to craft, trade well a whole lot, or pay real money to get coin, but I do make about 100k/day now crafting couches, gnomes, and shoes, mostly, saving to cover the second half of my city with services and specializations, as first half is already full density.
