unable to update game android simcity

I have cimcity buildit city on an IPhone and a Huawei P30 pro. Can't get it to load on the P30 for about 2 weeks now.

When I attempt to do so, it says Loading Your Previously saved city failed. Make sure you have the latest update and then it gives a big button to update.

I hit update, it takes me to the play store. I uninstall my current version. Reboot the phone and then install what's in the play store.

I attempt to load again after going through the tutorial and it says the same things. I've done this many times. I decided to wait a while in case an update was pending but it's now been two weeks and i cant play on my phone.

I checked for updates on my iphone as well, resaved the city and I still get the same results.

Version on Huawei P30 1.39.2.100801

The update is now out for the google play store! You can download version 1.40.1 and enjoy the new update!

Heyyyy. So SCBI's latest version is 1.39.7, I can see that on the App Store on my iPad. However, the Play Store does not have that version out yet as it is still on 1.39.2. So because of this whenever I open the game on my android phone, I can't play the game. It says something like your city cannot load because your game needs to be updated. The update is not out for any Google Play Store users, so I am just wondering if it will even come out? Because I would like to go back playing on my phone lol

I don’t think it’s possible to know exactly when the update will come out for the Google Play Store but hopefully in the coming days. There was a similar post here on Reddit and supposedly if you are logged in to Facebook or Google Play it won’t ask you to update the game and you can play normally again.

Sorry it didn’t work. Maybe it does if you sign in to a google play account but unfortunately you’ll likely have to wait a few days until you can play again. Thanks for letting me know that it doesn’t work. Hope you can get back to building soon.

@hotdog9wiki Thank you for your time and kindness! I can play on my ipad, but I can't wait to get back to playing in my phone as I don't have my ipad with me all the time haha. I guess I'll be missing out on the vu bug event for war. Anyways I just hope the update does come out for play store, and not stuck at this current version forever. Again, many thanks 🙂

Unfortunately there is nothing we can do except wait. Hopefully the update will be released within the coming days. Until then if you have an IOS device you can play on that.

@CrazyBob727 EA knows about this issue, they told me they are working on it and will issue an update on android.
