Hello Mayor, you have a lot of work to do to get to 10 million. It is possible, I was almost there but then came services 2.0 and my population plummeted, almost back to where it was.
Try replacing low boost structures with higher ones, Sakurai parks instead of small fountain parks, heliports instead of bus terminals and so on. Add lots of high boost mayor's pass buildings. Washington monuments are also good.
Works for me. Good luck.

I have seen several cities that had all the five regions unlocked, they had four regions population above the 2 500 000 each. The impossible is possible.

It isn't unrealistic but it takes perseverance. I've been playing the game for a few years now, my regional population is currently 6.1 million. Its slow going but I'm getting there. Given that my main city's population is almost 5 million, I have stopped upgrading homes there and focusing only on my regional population. I try to swap out parks/landmarks etc if I get something with a higher population boost. They obviously want people to stick with the game long term to try and achieve this goal. I really wish they'd give us more land in our regions which would make the 10 million goal a little easier to attain. If I ever get that 10 million population to unlock my last region, I have at present 39 land deeds saved up to unlock all the land.

Hello everyone,
I would like to fully support the request for land expansions in the regions.
An important reason for this is the new Mass Transit system:
The tracks and stations take up a significant amount of building space in all regions. These tracks and stations do not generate any population growth, but they occupy valuable space that could otherwise be used for residential buildings.
To reach the big goal of 10,000,000 regional population for the 6th region, the available space becomes even tighter due to the rail infrastructure.
Additional land expansions in the regions would therefore be a huge help for all of us.
Thank you to the team for considering this!

It would be nice if there were different ways of unlocking regions. Like, give players the option to get that 10 million people, or by having 100 million gold coins. Producing an X amount of nails, planks and so on. Getting in the top 5 of the Design Contest an X number of times. All sorts of things that probably make sense if the government of SimWorld wants to consider opening up another region and finding the right mayor with proven competencies to develop that region.
Not every player wants to focus on cramming as many people as possible within a certain area. I like my cities spatious and with lots of green and parks, not just endless rows of towers.
I've more or less given up on unlocking that last (Frosty) zone, because it seems very impractical anyway given its elongated shape. I'm not going to ruin my carefully crafted cities in the other regions just to unlock a map like that. Having access to the trees would be nice, but that alone simply doesn't make it worth it. So I hope that, one day, there will be other methods of unlocking it and then I might consider it again.

I’m a long time player 11 years now, it took me 10 years to unlock my 5th region. I increased my population by putting in a shed load of Washington monuments and that took me 8 months to attain 1.5 million population I needed to get to the 10 million.
I was fortunate to do that before the 2.0 got everyone upset including me. Since then I’ve increased my omega rzs in cap city, green valley, and sunny Isles and the drone bases covers all the services so I put them back into storage.

I have been playing for 10 years and still have only 4 of the 5 regions. Population 7.2 million. I think the only way to reach 10 million is to cram it full of buildings and, once you have all the regions, then redesign them as you like.
