Upgrading device - Do I lose my city?

I am in need up updating my phone. This will be done with transfer of existing phone info directly to my new phone.

Will my Simcity Buildit city still be accessible on the new device?

    Depends.

If you're staying on same operating system on the phone (iOS, Android) then you get your city back after doing the tutorial part.

Of course, provided that you are logged in in some way to cloud provide by the game from game's control panel.

If you're switching OS (e.g. going from iPhone to Android phone or other way around) you MUST log in befor and after with Facebook, because that is the only way which works on both systems...

  • Thank you. I assume if I am online, then I am backing to the cloud. Also, I think I already log in with facebook, too, so I should be doubly safe.

I just did this. Never mind the social data link, google or facebook, it sucks. Here is what I did -

Connect your device to a PC.

Go to the folder on your device with file explorer in Windows -

         \Internal storage\Android\data

    Copy the folder -

          com.ea.game.simcitymobile_row

I copied and pasted it to my desktop as a backup just in case.

Connect your NEW device to a PC.

Go to the folder on your NEW device with file explorer in Windows -

         \Internal storage\Android\data

    Paste/Overwrite with the file-

         com.ea.game.simcitymobile_row

No need to do the tutorial or anything like that.

Also, if you want to play, transfer it to a pc, also easy.  Works great, faster, fun..

    Using the above info.

    Download and install bluestacks

         www.bluestacks.com

In bluestacks, download and install Sim City Build it.

In Bluestacks, download and install ES File Explorer.

Go to the folder on your device with file explorer in Windows -

         \Internal storage\Android\data

    Copy the folder -

          com.ea.game.simcitymobile_row

Go to the folder on your PC -

         C:\ProgramData\Bluestacks\UserData\SharedFolder

    Paste/Overwrite with the file-

         com.ea.game.simcitymobile_row

Open ES File Explore in Bluestacks

    Navigate to the folder -

         storage - sdcard - windows - BstSharedFolder

Long clike the folder inside and copy it

          com.ea.game.simcitymobile_row

    Navigate to the folder

          storage - sdcard - Android - data

    Paste with the file -

         com.ea.game.simcitymobile_row

Again, No need to do the tutorial or anything like that. Also it works vice versa.
