Walls of Alsharq (and other) spacial issue

When placing a wall between two buildings it would connect to, as with the Walls of Alsharq, the second building should fit in the square space aligned with the wall segment. The square area is exactly equal to where I placed the other, as you can see from my screenshots. I should be able to place like this to make this structure.
