As I shared with one of my favorite 😉 club members, you certainly think on a different plane, which is great. Your tongue in cheek satire often goes over folks heads (by design) and absolutely gives me belly laugh, it’s great. This however is not intended to do that and I personally thank you for sharing this. I am appalled but not surprised...it’s well past time for the company to step up and deal with this type issue. For those of us who play this game to relax and enjoy the interaction with others, that actually buy their products in the market place I share enough is enough. Please understand you are losing long term players daily...loosen the ties step into the forum and share you us (part of your customer base) what you are doing to protect this game we enjoy.
Thanks Pinn. Very kind remarks, as always. I appreciate hearing what others think - it helps me take my own temperature. Am I overreacting, or are my frustrations and concerns also felt by others too.
I guess I should have learned long ago to accept games that are presented “as is”, as never going to be what a more traditional consumer good might look like. No manual, no controls for cheaters, inconsistent game elements...
All of this is “as is”. So like someone said, I’ll try more to enjoy the game for what it is (and I do very much enjoy it), and let go of trying to fix the issues that irritate me.
EA hopefully will realize, this not only means that I will not spend (I have been happy to throw a few dollars at the game from time to time, as appreciation for how much play I get out of it), but I will also encourage everyone I interact with to also not spend. It makes no sense to spend on a competitive game that doesn’t have a level playing field.
When this was an individually-focused building game, it didn’t really matter much. But now hat there is a strong focus on community competition (contest of mayors, club challenges, club wars...), it does matter about cheaters. It makes the game not fun when you can’t compete evenly.
