I noticed the 'level' issue on the 2nd day. Those who are higher level probably have majority Gold tokens (12x speed up) which allows them to complete tasks much faster.
There is strategy involved in doing this, you must plan ahead, I like the concept. Once the bugs are fixed things will become fairer for everyone though I'm sure you'll still see 'level' discrepancies that might swing 5 levels up or down the ladder.
