Hmmm well, I understand the game needs to generate revenue, it’s a business after all. I’m not of the opinion everything should be free, but even since I started playing a couple of months ago, it seems the goal posts have changed. I am more than happy to pay every month for the premium pass and I’ve also bought some anniversary buildings (so I’m not a free-to-play gamer), but to have to pay every week also is too much for a mobile game in my opinion. I’ve enjoyed the experience, but I’ll be looking for another city building game now. If EA reads these comments, this is feedback for them - you’ve pushed it too far for my liking and lost a new and willing to pay customer.

I've been playing for 10 years and used to buy the premium pass just to get some extra benefits, but it was possible to achieve all the objectives even without it.
Unfortunately, now to win anything, you have to pay, and the rewards decrease with each update.
I've had a club for 8 years, it's always been active and constantly renewing itself, but today it's dying because veteran players are retiring and newcomers simply abandon their cities after a while.
Just one final detail: I'd already seen this New Year's clock a few weeks ago in a design challenge. How? Well, hackers don't have to pay anything to have everything...
But that's our problem, isn't it, EA?

Upgrading buildings earns you Event Points. You can do as many of those as you want and complete the track without spending any money.

That is a great solution and one I’d not thought of - thanks so much for the suggestion! At my level, however, I think it would cause me trouble because it would level me up too quickly and I don’t have the storage capacity and infrastructure to cope. I found another city building game that I think will suit me better, but if I ever decide to return to SimCity Buildit, I will try your strategy for sure.
