Why did EA change the road congestion ?
In past version (1.49.4), I found the cause of road congestion in some ways and came to the following conclusion:
- The problem of road congestion is determined by three factors, namely, the length of the road, the number of buildings on both sides of the road, and the grade of the road.
- If each Two- Lane Road blocks can carry up to 1 point of congestion, each of the Four-Lane Road is 1.25.
- And the direction of the residential floor will cause 2.5 congestion.
- In addition to the water surface or bridge, buildings with a width of 1 to 2 blocks cause 1 congestion, and buildings with 3 to 4 blocks cause 2 congestion. Except for the "Landspace" that will cause congestion in four directions, other buildings will only cause congestion in the direction facing.
But in current version, the situation has changed.
The Landspace biulding now only causes congestion on one direction, not on all sides, but transportation building now congestion in four directions.
At 1.49.4, the congestion caused by the two residential buildings is the same as that of five peaceful parks, but now it has become 7 to 6.
And some places that shouldn't have been congested began to be congested. For example, two-lane road with 4blocks (not including the intersection) intersects with two four-lanes road. At this time, if a residential building is placed next to the two-lanes, it will cause congestion, but if the two four-lanes are removed, it will not cause congestion.
Why did EA change these?
