Why did EA change the road congestion ?

In past version (1.49.4), I found the cause of road congestion in some ways and came to the following conclusion:

  • The problem of road congestion is determined by three factors, namely, the length of the road, the number of buildings on both sides of the road, and the grade of the road.
  • If each Two- Lane Road blocks can carry up to 1 point of congestion, each of the Four-Lane Road is 1.25.
  • And the direction of the residential floor will cause 2.5 congestion.
  • In addition to the water surface or bridge, buildings with a width of 1 to 2 blocks cause 1 congestion, and buildings with 3 to 4 blocks cause 2 congestion. Except for the "Landspace" that will cause congestion in four directions, other buildings will only cause congestion in the direction facing.

But in current version, the situation has changed.

The Landspace biulding now only causes congestion on one direction, not on all sides, but transportation building now congestion in four directions.
At 1.49.4, the congestion caused by the two residential buildings is the same as that of five peaceful parks, but now it has become 7 to 6.

And some places that shouldn't have been congested began to be congested. For example, two-lane road with 4blocks  (not including the intersection) intersects with two four-lanes road. At this time, if a residential building is placed next to the two-lanes, it will cause congestion, but if the two four-lanes are removed, it will not cause congestion.

Why did EA change these?

    The cause of the incident is as follows:

    I set up some buildings in Sunny Isles, and after inspection, I found that there was no congestion.

    But when I looked at this area again one day, I found a section of road congestion —— As long as you don't move the building and there are no congested roads in the city, it will never be congested unless the congested roads are modified. I have not changed the direction of the building, and the buildings in these places will not be affected (repairing the disaster area may change the direction of the building)

    So I tried to change the direction of a traffic building (It is located at the intersection of a congested road and another road), but I found that the way to change the direction of the building doesn't work.

    But just now, when I entered the game again, I found that yesterday's conclusion was not valid. EA seemed to be trying to modify the relevant code, but it caused some bugs. Now it has been fixed (?)

    I was plagued by traffic jams for a while, so I checked the causes of road jams in the game in some ways - I was particularly sensitive to these details.
