Why don't the developers understand we are sick of seasonal currency?

Just a general question - I am going to avoid criticizing the fact a season is being wasted on a so called holiday that is just 2 weeks away.  WHY IS IT SO HARD TO REMOVE SEASONAL CURRENCY. THE MAJO...
