Any chances of a new Simcity on PC?
HI!
I know this is an ongoing request. I tried answering on an already existing topic, but it wouldn't allow me to do so.
Are there any plans for a new Simcity on PC? SC2013 was released more than a decade ago. Cities: Skylines has proven that people are still interested in complex city builders.
I'd imagine it having:
-SC2013 aesthetics, UI, resources and building upgrades.
-Improved graphics, new weather system that impacts the simulation (rain floods, storms, fires due to heat/lightnings, etc.).
-Bigger maps than SC2013 and an improved engine (Glassbox 2.0 or whatever) that fixed the known simulation issues and bugs that SC2013 had.
-Improved transportation and citizen behavior systems.
-SC3K music and humor. Having some kind of newspaper with funny images and silly news, for example. For me what still makes any Simcity stand above Cities XXL or Cities Skylines is the art style, the sense of humor and things like advisors that make you feel in touch with your sims.
-QoL improvements (like the road-placing system used in Cities: Skylines).
-Single-player focus (it can have multiplayer, as well).
