[bug] Overworking is a really bad idea in mega tower

Developer must come out to explain how overworking work?

How they balance it between commuting workforce and local workforce while overworking is allowed?

It seems once there is outstanding jobs available, they will overwork. While Arcology Great Work is build you should allow me to fill all those available job by commuting workforce. but seems current overworking is the first one because working agent will find the closest avaiable sims first.

In a result,

If avaiable job > working sims, overwork compliant

If avaiable job < working sims, no work compliant

If avaiable job ~= working sims, no incoming cummuting sims....

 

Please explain your LOGIC behind.

  • My sims in the megatower keep moving out because they say .....unsatisfied no relief from work ...but it does not say how to fix this ....any help would be appreciated

  • I believe that means you have too many jobs. Once you increase the amounts of residents to fill jobs that *should* go away. Check your Population Detail screen to see if your available jobs is high for that wealth level.

    Makes sense- if there are too many jobs available in any particular wealth-level, the productivity requirements for each worker goes up in the jobs they occupy.  Every plopable and zone-generated building requires amount of man hours to operate, so if there are 4 jobs that need to be filled and only 1 Sim to do those 4 jobs, they become overworked trying to keep that building active.

  • I have seen a Sim make a work commute from his Megatower apartment to an OmegaCo factory to a shop to another factory and another shop and then back to his apartment. Then, he complained that he was overworked. Personally, I think that it was a justified complaint.
