EA Help says Simcity Societies isn't available for download anywhere

I've been working on getting my old game disks moved over to the EA App, which obviously includes popping in the serial codes in and downloading everything. So when I got to the Simcity Societies game, I ran into a snag with the original code. It says it's not valid. So, I reached out to EA Help and was told the game isn't available for download anywhere anymore.

It's there. It's available for purchase on the EA App. Are EA selling a game that can't be downloaded and played? When I replied to the email explaining that it still is being sold on the EA App, I've received no further comments. In fact, the newest EA Help rep just forwarded the previous rep's email to me saying that the game has reached its sunset and is not available for download anywhere.
