Failed to launch game

Was gonna put un a few more hours on SimCity this x-mas. 

But after the latest update it seems I cannot open it. 

See there are similar issues, but I cannot get past the admin question. 

When I try to start I get the "This game require permissions" "This game requires administrative privileges. Do you want to grant access and launch the game?". OK and Close are the options. 

If I click OK, there is no admin prompt, and it goes to the "Failed to launch game" "An error on our end caused the launch to fail. Try again a little later" 

Have tried what I can find, reinstalled game and EA launcher. Even tried to go offline. 

Have also set the SimCity exe to Win7 compatibility mode and run as admin. 

No difference. 

It seems to have happened after the latest update?
