How to Activate Steam copy of SimCity 4: Deluxe on Origin

Hi @Serafielus - Is there an option to View Game CD key listed if you right-click the game in your Steam library? If not, Steam help article recommends verifying your game files following these directions: https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=2037-QEUH-3335

If you still don't see a CD key, this may require support to add to your account. Keep us posted 

@BlackjackWidow That's the point, I can't even see an option of CD Key, when right-clicking on SimCity 4 in my steam library...

After verifying game files nothing changed... Yesterday I contacted polish EA support but they refused adding the game to my account because they said they cannot do it...

@Serafielus - I'm sorry, if EA Help can't add the game without the CD key, you probably need Steam support to see if they can help you find the key. Then, if you can get the key, EA Help might be able to add it to your library (you can always try a different language support, too)

I know that people have had difficulties redeeming old retail keys in Origin, too, but I hope the newer digital downloads have a product key that works. I hate to be THAT person (sending you back to Steam), but I can't see another way to get a key. Since Steam is where it was installed, they should be the ones to know where the key is. I've done a lot of searching for answers, and found very little help. This post says that Steam uses one key for every install, so you can never register it in Origin. This one has an idea that I wouldn't recommend unless you are very knowledgeable about computers.

@BlackjackWidow Don't wory, I am aware not always things go as we wish 😉 I am really glad and appreciate your help 😉 At least I tried and will try again because sometimes things change and new ideas come up 🙂

So now I will try with Steam Support and if it doesn't help, I will again try with EA Support as you adviced. Will write here when having more information about this case 😉
