is simcity worth playing in 2023?
I am considering buying SimCity on my MacBook, but not sure, if it's worth it.

The remake? I wouldn't. It is a lot of fun and had so much potential (I am a minority in that view), but there are completely game breaking traffic bugs that never got fixed and your entire city will get grid-locked and stop functioning. Every time. No matter how many highways you have, etc.
Traffic--and many other things--are bugged and require more management than what was probably intended but you can struggle/work around them. There are mods (not sure if they'll work on the mac version) that help a little.
I played it at launch for a few months and I've been playing it over the past month and enjoy it. (I reclaim abandoned cities--the more messed up the better).
IOW, it's nice so long as you know what you're getting into. It's not "easy" but it's not impossible either.It's not in my choice.
