New Catalina update not working with my Sim City

Have not played Sim City in a long while.  Just recently updated my MAC to the new OS Catalina and now Sim City does not play nor does it look like it wants to install. All other things on my compute...

Hi @crawlingiris - Apple has withdrawn support for 32-bit programs, beginning with MacOS Catalina 10.15. EA has not announced any plans to update SimCity to 64-bit. Aspyr did announce that they will be updating the App Store version of SimCity to 64-bit, but no timeline on when that will happen. The Aspyr version is single player, offline play only.

    So the only solution would be to go back to Mojave or High Sierra wouldn't be?

    has anybody tried that?

      @bell4875 - There are a few options, including reverting back to an OS that supports SimCity. You could also create a bootable external drive, install a virtual machine running a previous OS, boot camp your Mac to run the game on Windows, or consider purchasing a copy from the App Store.       High Sierra 10.13 crashed SimCity, so if you revert to HS, install a previous version

      Mojave 10.14.4 has an issue with handling high def and ultra high def resolutions, so you will need to force the resolution in Origin under SimCity's Advanced Game Options, or install a previous version

      Aspyr has updated their single player version of SimCity to 64 bit, so you could purchase from the app store.
