NUCLEAR FALLOUT???

The disaster "Meteor Strike" can randomly leave behind radiation.  From what I've seen it's not always, just sometimes.  And I know of no way to clean it up.

You'll have to learn to live with it. Piecing together what I can from devs it will take 102 years to fully go away, and that's only if you're constantly placing trees on it to clean up the ground pollution it makes. That's over 10 days real time until cheetah is back, 5 days after. Doesn't really matter though, with that time frame you'll get plenty more radiation before it's clean.

With that said you screwed your cities up. You need to have a well-educated city in place before you can create these kind of environments. You need to work the tech level up with your schools being placed in. Once you have those schools placed you will have a tech level increase. Over time you will see much more value. I have yet to see a city that needs 2,400 Mega watts (2,400,000,000 watts) in this game yet but apparently we are allowed to create such an over wattage. 

That's because it'll provide for the whole region and you can focus on other specialities in those cities. I have one city powering 4 others in one of my regions. Saves me from having to use the solar great work for clean energy.

Build a new city, or build stuff like a bus depot or other items on top of it... just for kicks.

Apparently meteors are radioactive          

this is really annoying as I especially  I  took a long time to build a city on clean energy year 17 and all ready 3x meteor strikes...WT MF

whats worse is that I am now getting zombie atacks from the hospitals & clinics are getting full  from sickness and I am spending my almost my entire budget on healthcare & education.

in one atack My population decrerased my almost 20 000 (more then 10x the people that died in 911)

how the F can one zombie devour a building with over 1000 people living in it.

F stupid.

I had the same problem in one of my cities. They hardly give us any space to build a city, and then when you get a meteor thenyou can't even use that space anymore. Not even a road (makes your sims sick). Just wait till you get 2-3 meteor's with fallout and you will go all crazy. Even when cheetah speed will be back, it's still slow... I want an even faster speed. Managing these small cities takes hardly any time.

a meteor hit my city as well in the random disaster.. didnt do to much damage however did leave a nice radioactive tile... i built a park on it and built up my hospital just to see what would happen.. i have 106 patience being seen and my 50 sim waiting room stays halfway full all the time! ^_^ I since demo'd the park and now have a nice green tile of grass in the middle of my city... ill soon be starting over.
